How to Make a Thermal Sensing Oven Mitt

This Instructable will teach you how to make a thermal sensing oven mitt.

Items to Acquire

Items Used:

Digital Thermometer
Oven Mitt
Hot Glue Gun
Diamond Tipped Files
Spare Wire

Cut Metal Tubing

Use file to cut the tubing, be sure not to damage the wire. Leave tip intact as it will be used later.

Disassemble Thermometer

Twist the case use file or screwdriver to ply open the case. Be sure not to damage the board. Pull wire out of back side of casing.

Glue Metal Tip to Sensor

Be sure not to cover sensor in the glue.

Cut Slit in the Stitching of the Mitt

Shove the extra wire through the end.

Glue Wire to Sensor End and Pull Through

Hot glue the Sensor into position after.

Glue the Screen to the Mitt
