How to Make a Sponge Out of Plastic Mesh Bag

Thumb.jpg

This project is really simple, and you, probably, can already see what I've done here. Basycally I'm exploring different ideas on how you can make use out of used plastic mesh bags, that are commonly used for storring fruits and vegetables. Here's my previous instructables in the theme:

CROCHETED RUG FROM VEGATABLE MESH BAGS

FUSING VEGATABLE MESH BAGS INTO PLASTIC SHEETS

So this time I'm making a sponge that can be used for wash your dishes or body.

To start, take a bag and wash it with some old Soviet type soap. Remove uwanted bits as well.

Dry the bag.

Remove the tie string.

Straighten the bag on a flat surface and fold it lengthwise.

Fold the bag in a zig-zag pattern.

Use the tie string to tie the folded bag across the middle. Also form a loop to hang the sponge.

And this is basically it. The sponge is rather scrubby, so it may not be perfect for everybody to use for bathing, but it;s still will be good for cleaning stuff.

This it for now, thanks for your attention and sponge a nice have.
