How to Make a Skateboard Arrow

6th6.JPG

HI guys, with this instructuble I will show you how to make a skateboard arrow for the top of your deck. It will act like a decorative washer. This will be useful so you know which way your board is facing

Supplies

You will need a computer, the measurements of your board, and tinkercad

The Base

1st1.png

You will need to make the base of the Arrow which is a rectangle. Drag a box over from the basic shapes and make it 5 units tall. Then scale it to 9x43

First Part of Arrow

For this step change the shapes to "design starters" and drag over a rounded box. If you want the look i have with the extruding arrow parts scale the height to 5.50 units but if you want it flush with the rest of the arrow scale the height to 5 units. Next scale it to 35x18

Rest of the Arrow

First thing we will do is duplicate the rounded box and then flip it, move it parallel to the other one like i have shown in the image. Next move your box into place as shown in the image.

Hole for the Deck Screws

For this step measure the length and width of your deck screw mine happens to be 8x8 units. Once you have your measurement's drag a cylinder from basic shapes and scale it to the dimensions of your screw, the height does not matter.

Create the Holes

For this step you need to duplicate your cylinder. Next move it into place with your deck measurements the screws on mine are 1.65 units apart so that's how far I put the cylinders apart. Next change the cylinders into holes with the function in the top right. Note your cylinders must pass through the arrow to make a hole.

Group Everything

For this step highlight everything at once and click group in the top left it should look like the picture. Also now you can make everything one color. Good job your done ! :)
