How to Make a Rainbow Body Scrub

This is a super easy and fun 4 color rainbow body scrub!

Note: This can be a messy project, but it will leave your hands smooth!

Gather Ingredients

o Coconut Oil
o White sugar
o Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green Food Dye
o Essential Oils
o Mason Jar
o Measuring cups
o 4 Small-medium Bowls
o 1 Medium-large Bowl
o Spoon

o Paper towels or napkins (for clean up)

Measure Out the Ingredients

o Using the measuring cups, measure 1 cup of coconut oil and put in the medium-large bowl.
o Using the measuring cups, measure 1 ½ cups of white sugar and put in the medium-large bowl with the coconut oil.

Mix the Ingredients

o Use the spoon or hands, stir the coconut oil and the white sugar.
o If the mixture is too wet, then add more sugar
o If the mixture is too dry, then add more coconut oil

Add Essential Oils

o Add a few drops (3-5) or until the strength is wanted of essential oil to the mixture of coconut oil and sugar in the medium-large bowl
o Using the spoon or hands, stir the mixture in the medium-large bowl very well.

Collect Four Small-Medium Bowls

o Separate the four-small bowls.
o Measure ½ cup of the mixture in the medium-large bowl and place in the small-medium bowl.
o Repeat this step until all four bowls have 1/2 cup of the mixture in each.

Add Yellow Food Coloring

o Add two drops of yellow food coloring. Stir with spoon until the color is evenly distributed.
o For a lighter color add less than 2 drops.
o For a darker color add more than 2 drops

Add Red Food Coloring

o Add two drops of red food coloring. Stir with spoon until the color is evenly distributed.
o For a lighter color add less than 2 drops.
o For a darker color add more than 2 drops.

Add Green Food Coloring

o Add two drops of green food coloring. Stir with spoon until the color is evenly distributed.
o For a lighter color add less than 2 drops.
o For a darker color add more than 2 drops

Add Blue Food Coloring

o Add two drops of blue food coloring. Stir with spoon until the color is evenly distributed.
o For a lighter color add less than 2 drops.
o For a darker color add more than 2 drops

Layer the Mixtures Into the Mason Jar

o Add the red colored mixture to the bottom of the mason jar evenly. Pack the mixture down with your fingers.
o Add the yellow colored mixture to the mason jar on top of the red mixture evenly. Pack the mixture down with your fingers.
o Add the green mixture to the mason jar on top of the yellow mixture evenly. Pack the mixture down with your fingers
o Add the blue mixture to the mason jar on top of the green mixture evenly. Pack the mixture down with your fingers.

Scrub the Dry Skin Away!

Screw the lid of the Mason Jar on the jar and now you have a four color sugar scrub! this can be used on any part of your body! It is definitely good for cold weather when your hands dry out. ENJOY :)
