How to Make a Popsicle Stick Coaster

One of the most annoying things I deal with when I'm having a drink is the condensation. If you're not using a coaster, the water makes a mess on whatever surface your drink is on or, if you are using a coaster and it's too light, the coaster will come up with your drink and also make a mess.
This guide will instruct you on how to make a popsicle stick coaster. This coaster is for anyone who wants to protect their furniture from condensation. Making a popsicle stick coaster is simple and should take about five minutes.
Tools and Materials Needed
Tools:
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
Materials
- 10 Popsicle Sticks measuring 4 1/2" x 3/8" x 1/12"
- One Foam Sheet
- Hot glue
Apply Hot Glue to the Foam Sheet

Apply a thick line of hot glue approximately the length of a popsicle stick along the edge of the foam sheet starting at a corner. Act quickly because hot glue cools fast. Make sure you use about a popsicle stick's length of hot glue. Using less glue won't be enough to keep a popsicle stick sturdily attached to the foam.
After this step, you should be left with a line of hot glue about the length of a popsicle stick running down the edge of the foam sheet, as pictured above.
Place a Popsicle Stick on the Hot Glue

After applying a line of hot glue, quickly and firmly press a popsicle stick on the line of hot glue to ensure it sticks. Again, don't wait too long between applying the hot glue and the popsicle stick or else the hot glue might cool.
After performing this step, you should have one popsicle stick securely attached to the foam sheet.
Add Another Line of Hot Glue

Apply another thick line of hot glue of the same length parallel to the previous popsicle stick. Remember to apply the hot glue quickly since it does not take long to cool.
Place a Popsicle Stick on the Hot Glue

Next, quickly and firmly press a popsicle stick on the new line of hot glue. Once again, make sure you do not wait too long between applying the hot glue and the popsicle stick so the hot glue doesn't cool.
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 Until You've Glued Ten Popsicle Sticks to the Foam Sheet

Continue to apply new lines of hot glue and popsicle sticks to the foam sheet until there are a total of ten popsicle sticks.
Cut Out the Coaster From the Foam Sheet

Use the scissors to cut your coaster from the foam sheet.
After doing this step you will have a completed popsicle stick drink coaster.
