How to Make a Plush Pumpkin: Two Methods!
Halloween is coming, so I made these cute little pumpkin decorations! They are very simple and quick to make!
Method 1:
Take a sock and stuff it with a ball of stuffing.
Cut the excess sock off and sew it closed with a running stitch.
This is the tricky part. Push your needle all the way through the pumpkin from the top so it's at the bottom. Wrap your thread around the pumpkin tightly and push it back through the top of the pumpkin. Then repeat until it looks like the picture above.
Cut a piece of rectangle felt and sew or hot glue it onto the top of the pumpkin. That's it for the first method!
Method 2:
Cut out a piece of fabric so that it's twice as long as it is wide. I made mine 14 inches long and 7 inches wide.
Fold it in half so that the two short ends are touching. Sew them together so it makes a tube.
Sew one of the ends closed with a running stitch.
Stuff it and sew the other end closed with another running stitch.
Find a stick in your backyard, (or front yard), like this one and cut it to the right length for your pumpkin. This will be the stem. If you don't want to use a stick, you can sew or hot glue a piece of felt onto the pumpkin, and skip the next step.
Sand the two ends so they are smooth.
Push your needle all the way through the pumpkin from the top so it's at the bottom. Wrap your thread around the pumpkin tightly and push it back through the pumpkin. Then repeat until it looks like the picture above. Then hot glue the stick onto the top.
There you go! Now you know how to make plush pumpkins two different ways! If you made a pumpkin or have any questions please share them! Have a spook-tacular Halloween!
