-Lay out your fabric so the outside design is facedown, and the inside is faced up

-Measure the length and width of the fabric (size of choice), cut out two even squares

- Lay the two squares on top of each other, fabric touch fabric, with the inside of the pillow being visible. Pin the fabric together.

Threading the Needle

-Next we will thread the needle. Cut a fair amount of thread off from your spool. Thread the needle by putting one end of the thread through the head of the needle; this is the top of the needle where there is a small opening. Pull through until you have two even strings of thread. Tie a thick knot at the end of the thread, opposite side of the needle.

-Place the needle through the fabric. Make sure you start sewing at least a half an inch from the edges. Thread the needle back and forth from the fabric. Important: DO NOT SEW THE EDGES TOGETHER. You want to have a little bit of fabric showing along all edges.

-When you finish one side, transition over to the next side. Move the pins to keep fabric together as you go.

-If you are coming close to the end of your thread, cut it off of the needle and tie a tight knot. Then, rethread your needle and continue sewing until you get all four sides. NOTE: Do not fully sew the last side, leave a few inches open.

NOTE: Don’t leave too much space in between stitches, or the pillow may fall apart/ lose stuffing.

CAUTION: Be careful not to prick yourself with the needle as you push it through the fabric.

Stuffing

- Once you sew all four sides (minus the small opening of the last), pull the fabric through the opening and turn it inside out, so the design is now on the outside.

-Put the stuffing in through the small opening, until pillow is full.

- Sew the opening shut.

Enjoy!
