How to Make a Mug Cake or Bowl Cake - 3 Ingredients!
In this instructable I will show you how to make a mug cake or bowl cake, using only 3 ingredients, and it only takes a couple of minutes! Have you ever had the craving for a cake but didn't want to eat a lot or didn't want half of a cake to go to waste because it got stale before you could eat it? Well the solution is to just use a portion of that cake mix and make a mug cake or bowl cake. It is really easy to do, if I can do you, then you can do it! And it is cooked in the microwave. Let's get baking, er um microwaving! :)
If you have any questions or comments, put them down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Follow the easy steps below or watch the short video tutorial, or do both!

Add Ingredients to Bowl
First let's start with our small bowl sized one. Add our cake mix, water, and oil to the bowl and mix it with a spoon or fork.
Add Ingredients to the Mug
Now for our Full sized Mug one, we will add the cake mix, water, and oil, and again stir. Note on the ingredients step page, there is a "from scratch" recipe as well if you would like to use that instead of a cake mix.
Microwave Them!
Now we microwave them one at a time. The small bowl will take about 1 minute on high. The mug one will take about 1 min 30 seconds to 1 min 45 seconds on high. Depending on your microwave, mine is a 1200 watt microwave. Push a toothpick in the center, and pull it out, if it is clean it is ready to go! Make sure to let the cakes cool for about 5 minutes. They will be hot.
Add Your Toppings
Now add your favorite cake toppings. I used powdered sugar, vanilla frosting, and sprinkles.
