This is a tutorial on how to make a simple leaf.   I will be using household supplies for the tutorial.  What you will need.

*Cuticle(Wax Paper)
*Upper Epidermis(Construction Paper or in my case Leaf Printed ribbon)
*Palisade Mesophyll(Ball Point pens)
*Vasular Bundle(4 Straws)
*Spongy Mesophyll and Lower Epidermis(Sponge with rough and soft sides)
*Atomic Forces used for Holding together atoms(Rubber Bands)
*Stoma(Marker)
*Guard Cells(Different Color Marker)

Step 1. Arrange Supplies

Take Your Straws and tie them together two rubber bands on both sides.

4. Create Space for Vascular Bundle in Lower Epidermis.

Cut a slit in the sponge with some scissors.(Careful not to cut yourself!)
Make sure that the straws easily fit inside the sponge about halfway.

5. Attach Your Pallisade Mesophyll

Using Rubber Bands Attach the Pens to the sponge.

6. Attach Your Upper Epidermis

Using rubber bands again attach the paper or ribbon to the model.  Only put a rubber band on one side sp you can view the inner parts of the "leaf"

7. Final Step - Join the Cuticle to the Upper Epidermis

Using a single rubber band again attach the wax paper to the model. once you have done this you have completed your leaf. Now you can put some Stoma and Guard Cells on the lower Epidermis to allow Photosynthesis to occur!
