How to Make a Hybrid Animal

In this tutorial you will learn how to make your very own hybrid animal!

1. You need to open photopea.com in your browser

2. You must have 2 separate images of animals with similar colors that you want to combine

The first thing you need to do is look at the top right and select "Open" under the file tab for the animal who you want the body of your hybrid animal to be. For the head of your hybrid animal you want to then select "Open and place" below open.

Look on the left hand side and look above the 2 images you have and there is an opacity number. Click on the animal image which will be the head of your hybrid animal and select 50% on the opacity meter.

Now that you can see through the image, make sure to position it to where you want the head to be. If you are unable to it is because you need to select the image. To do this you must go into the "Edit" dropdown in the top right corner and select "Free Transform". If you need to flip the image, right click and select "Flip Horizontally".

Important: When you finish with this step make sure to put the opacity back to 100%

Right click the 4th icon on the left hand side of the screen and select "Quick Select".

The website will ask you to rasterize the image, select "Yes". After Selecting the negative icon in the top left it and Select the click around the head of your animal as you can get.

Click the "Add Raster Mask" Tool and then click the Color Tool and move the color to the bottom left corner to make the color black. After Doing this, Select the "Paintbrush Tool" and paint over anything you want to not be included in the head and touch it up.

Where you can see the two animals click the eye icon on the image you just isolated and repeat the same process on the other picture, leaving only the body and neck of the animal.

Click the eye symbol again and you should see your hybrid animal almost finished but looking unconnected. Using the "heal tool", you can blend the two animals together. keep making finishing touches until you are satisfied with your final design. After this you have made your very own hybrid animal in photopea!
