How to Make a Healthy Delicious Chicken Burrito

I have been on a healthier lifestyle journey for a year and I learned how to cook a lot of different meals but the chicken burrito is definitely one of the best tasting, healthier meals I've had.

Supplies

black pepper.jpg

tomatoes.jpg
spinach.jpg
paprika.jpg
olive oil.jpg
garlic.jpg
cream cheese.jpg
chili powder.jpg
salt.jpg

Chicken breast, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, olive oil, low fat cream cheese, chopped spinach, diced tomatoes, low fat cheese, large whole wheat tortillas, salsa.

Seasoning the Chicken

  1. First rinse 2 large chicken breasts.
  2. Add 1/2 tablespoon of salt, black pepper paprika, and chili powder.
  3. Add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Next rub the chicken with all the seasonings that were added.

Throw the Chicken in the Pan

Place the chicken breast in the hot pan on medium heat for 6 minutes and cover. Next after 6 minutes flip the chicken breast and leave covered for another 6 minutes.

Preparing the Cooked Chicken

  1. Let the chicken cool off and then pull chicken apart with forks till it is all pulled apart and no big chunks left.
  2. Add a table spoon of low fat cream cheese.
  3. Add half a cup of chopped spinach, and 1/3 cup of diced tomatoes.
  4. Add a quarter cup of low fat cheese.
  5. Mix all the ingredients together.

Putting Burritos Together

  1. Place half the mix into one of the large whole wheat tortillas. Next add the other half of the mix into the other tortilla.
  2. Fold into a burrito and place it onto the pan in medium heat until crispy.
  3. When both sides are crispy cut them in half and add some salsa to them.
