How to make a flexagon out of any size of paper.

Supplies

- 2 rectangular sheets of paper
- Glue

Pre-crease

Fold one sheet in half and then quarters horizontally, and the other in half then quarters vertically.

Then using the opposite sheet as a guide, add perpendicular quarter folds to each sheet.

You can also just fold both sheets in all directions but it means having crease lines running through your final product.

Cut and Glue

You will now have 2 sheets with 5 creases each.
Lay them out side by side and identify where the corners will be matched when one is laid on top of the other.

The glue should only be applied in the little rectangles that have been creased into the corners.

Cut along the center fold of each of the sheets (1 vertical and 1 horizontal) so that you have 4 rectangles (2 regular and 2 extra narrow).

Now line up the corners and glue them together.

You can also glue the 2 sheets together and cut the lines after. It makes alignment easier but you have to be careful to only cut one sheet in each direction.

Work the Folds

Once the glue dries you can use your flexagon!

I like to cycle through once and re crease any folds that might be in the wrong direction.

You can draw or write directly onto the paper, or glue panels to each side and use it as a base.
