How to Make a Delicious Homemade Pizza

All college students are extremely busy and usually don't have time to make a dish at home, so we decided to make a quick, easy pizza recipe for all pizza lovers.

This recipe is able to make enough sauce and dough for two pizzas. One for now and one for later, or both now because of its deliciousness!

Supplies

Dough Ingredients:

2 ¼ teaspoons of instant yeast

2 cups of moderately warm water

3 ½ cups of unbleached all-purpose white flour

2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon of salt

1 tablespoon of sugar

Roller

Mixer

Pan

Measuring Cups

Pizza Sauce Ingredients:

1 canned tomatoes

2 teaspoons olive oil

6 ounces tomato paste

½ teaspoon of dried oregano

2 cloves of garlic

½ onions

½ teaspoon of dried basil

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper

salt

black pepper

Mix 2 ¼ teaspoons of instant yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 2 cups of warm water in a mixer and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 3 ½ cups of flour, and 1 tablespoon of salt to the mixer until a doughy texture is achieved.

Knead the dough by hand while lightly applying flour for 4 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl of oil, cover it with plastic wrap, and keep it at room temperature for 1-2 hours. While the dough rises, get started on the pizza sauce.

Dice up half of an onion and two cloves of garlic. Then pour a small amount of olive oil in a hot pot to saute the diced onions and garlic.

Add ½ teaspoon of red pepper, ½ teaspoon of dried oregano,½ teaspoon of dried basil, black pepper, and salt to the mix.

Add the 6 ounces of tomato paste to the mix before the onions and garlic begin to darken.

Add the can of tomatoes into the pan. Use a spoon or spatula to break up the tomatoes to make a smooth consistency. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes, then turn off the stove and leave it to cool.

After your dough has rested, gently knead it until the air bubbles are released. Cut it in half for later use.

Preheat the oven to 475°F and begin to shape the dough into a circular shape 12 inches in diameter. Lift the edges up to create the rim for the pizza. Create dents onto the surface using your fingers to help prevent bubbling.

After spreading the dough, spread the marinara sauce, and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Then add any desired toppings.

Bake the pizza in the oven for up to 15 minutes or until the crust is a golden brown. After it is taken out, cut into slices, and enjoy your delicious pizza!
