You will need:

A bottle or can of Coca Cola

A tall clean glass large enough to hold at least 12 oz. of Coca Cola

Your preference of ice cream (vanilla ice cream is what we are using in this presentation)

An ice cream scoop

A tablespoon (optional: straw)

Whipped cream (optional)

Cherries (optional)

Napkins

Fill the glass with about 3-4 scoops of ice cream, or until the glass is about 3/4ths of the way full.

Take a can or bottle of Coca Cola, preferably chilled as to keep the ice cream from all melting right away, and pour the soda slowly into the glass until the Coke is just over the ice cream.

Mix it up. Allow your float to sit for awhile, giving it about 5 minutes will allow the ice cream to melt a little without losing it's coldness. Stir your float with a tablespoon until it reaches a consistency that you desire. You may continue to add Coke to thin the beverage or ice cream to thicken it.

Adding whipped cream and/or a few cherries to your Coke Float might spice up your experience.

Serve your beverage (to yourself or others). Take your spoon and dip it into the cup and place your straw down into the drink. Eat, or drink, the float by scooping the spoon down into the beverage and lifting it to your mouth. Use the straw to sip the remainder of the beverage left in the glass.
