How to Make a Chick-Fil-A Sandwich
Have you ever wanted Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday? This guide will teach you how to prepare, cook, and serve your own Chick-Fil-A sandwiches.
Gather the Materials
You will need:
- at least 2 Bowls
- a frying pan
- measuring cups/spoons
- tongs
- a whisk (optional)
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a bowl mix:
- 1 cup of flour
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of basil
Mix the Wet Ingredients
Whisk Together:
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup of milk
Prepare the Chicken
Dip the chicken in the wet ingredients and coat both sides. Then, dip the chicken in the dry ingredients, coating both sides. Finally, dip the chicken in the wet and dry ingredients again.
Prepare the Oil
Pour about one cup of peanut oil into a pan (maybe more depending on the size of the pan). Heat the oil on medium until it is ready to fry. To test if the oil is ready, you can flick a little bit of water into the oil and if it sizzles then the oil is most likely ready to cook.
Begin Frying the Chicken
First, carefully place the chicken in a pan with tongs. Then, fry the chicken for about 4 minutes on one side.
Flip the Chicken
After the chicken has cooked on one side for 4 minutes, flip the chicken and fry for about 3 minutes on the other side.
Test the Chicken
After the chicken is done frying, place on a plate with a paper towel on it. Then, cut the chicken around the middle to make sure it is cooked.
Prepare the Buns
Toast your buns and put butter on them (optional).
Assemble the Sandwiches
Put the chicken on the buns.
Optional: add pickles, ketchup, other condiments
Serve
Give your family their delicious Sunday night meal, that you have prepared for them, and enjoy eating your own sandwich too.
