Brazilian bracelets are a fun and easy craft that anyone can learn and do at home. The bracelets can be used as friendship bracelets or to make a wish.

The way to make them is really one simple spiral knot over and over again. Once you've got the hang of it, all it takes is patience as these bracelets do take some time to make.

In this instructable, I'll share step-by-step instructions on how to make your own Brazilian Bracelet, for beginners.

Supplies

- yarn

- tape

-scissors

Choosing the Strings

Gather 6 long pieces of yarn, choosing at least 2 different colors to vary the pattern.

Tip - Make sure the pieces of yarn are longer than you think they need so you do not run out of before your bracelet is finished.

Tying the Main Knot

Tie the strings together at the top and secure the knot to a flat surface or object to be able to use both hands when working on the bracelet.

Tip - To make the knot, twist all the strings in the same direction and make a loop. Then pass the ends through the loop and tighten.

Separate the Strings

Separate the strings in an order that will be the pattern of your bracelet. We’ll call the strands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 going from left to right.

Creating the "4" Loop

Start with strand 1 and cross it over strand 2, creating a 4 shape.

Tie a Spiral Knot

Take the end of strand 1 and pass under strand 2. Pull strand 1 through the loop created in the 4 shape and tighten the knot.

Repeat Spiral Knots

Repeat steps 4 and 5 with strand 1 on the rest of the strings.

Continue Making Spiral Knot Rows

When spiral knots have been made on all the strands, strand 1 will now be on the right and the process will be repeated with strand 2 and so on.

Finish Rows and Tie Bracelet

When the wanted length is achieved, make sure to properly tighten the last knot and make a final knot with all the strings. Tie both sides of the bracelet on your wrist or someone else’s and cut off the excess strings.
