How to Make a Birdhouse in TinkerCad
In this project, i will be showing you how to make a birdhouse in TinkerCad.
Making the Birdhouse Base
First, place two boxes onto the Workplane. Next, make one of the boxes slightly smaller (on all sides) than the other box and make the smaller box a hole. Also, elevate the small hole box so than its top aligns with the top of the red box. Then move the hole box to the top-center of the red box so you can see the hole through the box. Lastly, group both shapes together to create a hole in the red box. To continue, advance to the next step.
Making the Birdhouse Roof
First, move the box aside and place a roof and a cylinder onto the Workplane. Next, shrink the cylinder so that the diameter is 5.00 and the height is still 20.00. Then move the cylinder so it is wedged into the roof. Lastly, group it together and change the color (this is optional). To continue, advance to the next step.
Assembling the Roof Onto the Birdhouse Base
First, bring the birdhouse base back onto the Workplane. Next, slightly make the roof bigger on all sides. Then raise the roof and place it on top of the birdhouse base. Finally, group it together and select Multicolor. To continue, advance to the next step.
Making and Adding the Bird Hole
First, place a cylinder onto the Workplane. Next, make the length and width 10.00 (so the diameter is 10.00) and rotate it forward by 90 degrees. Also, make the cylinder a hole. Then bring the birdhouse back onto the Workplane. Lastly, raise the cylinder, pierce it halfway through the birdhouse, and group the whole thing together so that there is a hole in the middle of the birdhouse. To continue, advance to the next step.
Making and Adding the Bird Pole
First, place a cylinder onto the Workplane and make the length and width 5.00, so the diameter is 5.00. Next, rotate the cylinder forward by 90 degrees. Then bring the birdhouse back onto the Workplane and enlarge it equally on all sides until the length and width are both 85.00. Lastly, make the cylinder 80.00 long and attach it to the birdhouse right below the hole. (The pole can be shortened if preferred). To continue, advance to the next step.
Congratulations, the Birdhouse Is Complete!
The birdhouse is now complete. If the birdhouse did not result as expected, it can be altered to fit any preference.
