How to Make a Bird Feeder Out of a Shoe DIY
The reason why I made this project is because they're two birds who built a nest in our roof and we named them Bob and Sheila, everyday that normally come sit at a doorstep. We normally feed them bread and crackers, but then I had a brainwave and decided why don't I make a bird feeder and so I did
Supplies
- Fishing line
- Shoe (make sure it's not too stinky )
- Bird feed
- A tree (make sure it's decent enough to hang your bird feeder on)
- a needle(to make a hole in the shoe, also be careful with this item)
Thread the Fishing Line Through the Shoe
First of all you need a needle to poke holes into the top of the shoe. You must do this on both sides of the shoe. Next thread the fishing line through the two holes.
Putting the Bird Seed in the Shoe
This is a really simple step and all you have to do is put your bird seed in and maintain its balance by spreading it out evenly.
Find a Place to Put Up Your Bird Feeder
In the image above I used my garage to hang my bird feeder on but you can hang it on a tree. I I hammered a nail into the wooden structure to hold the bird feeder, then I tied a knot in the fishing line and hung it on. And there we are you are finally finished your bird feeder. (In the image above I tied a double knot I tied two of them just in case.)
