How to Make a Bird Feeder Out of Scrap Wood

Today I'm going to show you how to make a bird feeder out of scrap wood.

Supplies

  • Saw (depending on your age some adult supervision)
  • Hammer
  • Finishing Nails
  • Scrap Wood
  • A drill
  • screws
  • Eye Protection

Pick You Base Wood

Pick your base size as this will determine the other lengths

Side Panels

Cut the edges on the tall side panels (I used two small pcs as it was what I had)

​Pre-drill

Pre-drill holes into the short sided of the base and the bottom of the tall side panel

​Glue

Glue and then screw the panels together

Get your small sides and glue and nail them to the base.

Holes in My Wood

I had some holes in my wood so I tin sniped some metal and screwed it to cover them.

The Roof

Get two pieces of wood that are the same size as the bottom and cut one roof piece has to be one depth of the wood.
