How to Make a Bed Like a Pro

Making your bed is the first step to starting your day. Making your bed look nice is a great way to start your day and keep your bedroom presentable.

Mattress, Sheets and matching Pillowcases, a Quilt, and a Comforter

Optional: Throw Pillows

Decide on sheets based on season and look. During the Summer you might want thinner bedding to stay cool at night. During the Winter you will want to pick something warmer. It is also important to pick sheets that you like the appearance of.

You don't want wrinkley sheets, You want your bed to look and feel nice. Spray and fold the sheets into quarters, Iron on high.

A good mattress protector keeps your mattress dry and clean. It is important to keep it smoothed out to prevent uncomfortable wrinkles. Smooth the mattress protector by pulling the sides tight over the edge of the bed while keeping it straight.

Tuck the edges of your sheets beneath the mattress firmly. The bottom sheet should look smooth because they were ironed. If the mattress protector is wrinkled, this is where you will be able to tell.

Place your next sheet on top of the bed, line it up with the mattress and lower sheet. This one should be ironed as well. This is the sheet that you will sleep beneath.

Tuck this sheet in nicely like the sheet before. this one does not have to be as tight because it will be pulled out anyway when the bed is used. It is still important to make it look presentable.

Pick a nice Quilt to go over the top. As before pick something seasonal and with a nice appearance.

Put pillows in Pillowcases and fluff Pillows by compressing the ends. The pillows will have to be fluffed every time the bed is remade.

Places all the Pillows neatly at the head of the bed. Deicide how many Pillows is enough for your comfort. Some may just be for decoration, these Pillows are optional.

Place a Comforter at the base of the bed. Pick a Comforter that will go well the sheets and Quilt that you picked. You may wish to remove this during warmer weather.
