How to Make a Beam in Onshape

Basically, i'm going to show you how to make a long beam in onshape.

Supplies

Only supplies you need is to have an onshape account and create a new document.

Create a Document

Create a document and that will be the start of your beam.

Create Sketch

First, select one of the planes and press "sketch" on the left of the toolbar.

Create a Square

In the Sketch, create a corner rectangle and drag it to the size you like.

Making the Beam

Once you have the square you like, press the green check mark on the sketch to apply it. Press the square you've made and press the "extrude" button on the top left next to the Sketch button. Now, press symmetric in the extrude menu to make it even, and drag it to how wide you'd like.
