How to Make a Beaded Bracelet

I made my own beaded bracelet using acrylic, crystal, and stone beads, wire, and lobster clasp. You can use any type or color beads that you like in any pattern you choose. I like purple and sparkly jewlery so I chose these purple acrylic beads. I like to make my own jewlery because I like crafting and enjoy color coordination with different outfits. I also like to make gifts that are personal for people sometimes. You could make a bracelet using the colors of someone's favorite sports team or school colors to give as a personal gift or for yourself to express your own style and creativity. Supplies

- 3-in-1 tool. These are great tools that have 3 functions in one. I bought mine at Michael's, but they are available at Walmart, hobby lobby, Amazon or any crafting store near you. Simply type in "jewlery making 3-in-1 tool" in your search bar. This one tool has wire bending ends, metal flattening, and wire cutting all in one tool and can be found for around $5.00.
- Jewlery wire. Any color you like. I chose silver flexible beading wire.
- Crimp beads. You only need two for this project but since they are tiny and not sold in quantity of two, you can purchase a small lot of crimp beads for only a couple dollars in the craft section of your local walmart or online. I used 2 or 2.5mm size.
- one jump ring and one lobster clasp. These are also usually sold in a lot of 5 or more for only a couple dollars.
- Beads. Any color or type so long as they have a hole so they can be threaded onto the wire you have. I reccomend acrylic because they aren't too heavy and they look more elegant and nicer than plastic but do not break as easily as glass.
- A ruler or measuring tape.
Measuring the Length of Wire.

Wrap the wire around your wrist and measure size of bracelet using the ruler or measuring tape. Add 2 inches to both ends.
Clip Measured Wire.

Clip the amount of measured wire using the wire cutter edges on the 3-in-1 tool.
Attach the Jump Ring and First Crimp Bead.

Thread the crimp bead to about 1 and 1/2 inches on the end of the wire followed by the jump ring. Take the wire looping it back through the crimp bead so that it makes a loop with the ring on the end. Once you have two pieces of wire through the crimp bead, use the flat pieces of the tool to flatten the crimp bead. The crimp will stay in place and you have the first end of your bracelet.
Begin Stringing the Beads Onto the Wire.

Begin stringing the beads onto the wire one at a time. Repeat this until you have 2 inches left of wire.
Attach the Other Crimp Bead and Lobster Clasp.

Thread the other crimp bead and loop the lobster clasp taking the wire end through the crimp bead again. Using the tool flatten down the bead holding it in place.
Cut Off Any Excess Wire.

Cut off any excess wire using the 3-in-1 tool.
Wear Your Bracelet.

Wear your bracelet to show off your new creation and style! Simply clip the lobster claw to jump ring to secure the clasp. Wear it or gift it for a special occasion.
