How to Make a Balloon Car
The Balloon Car is a super easy craft that only takes around 20 minutes to make! It is a fun, non electronic car that you can use to teach kids and adults about simple machines. But how does it work? The balloon car uses the pressure of the air flowing out of it to roll. If you are ready to learn and are excited to build, lets get right into it!
Supplies
- Tape
- Four Bottle Caps
- A bottle
- Straws
- A balloon
- Skewers
Cut a Straw in Half and Tape It to Your Bottle
Make sure to tape them sturdy and parallel!
Insert Your Skewers Into the Straws
An alternative is chop sticks.
Put the Bottle Caps on the Skewers
I did this step horribly but make sure you have an adults help or permission. You will need a small knife to cut a hole in the bottle caps. The closer to the middle you are, the better!
Tape Your Balloon to Your Straw
Make sure it is air tight!
Attach It to You Car and You Now Have an Air Powered Engine!
Congrats you finished! Now you can use you car by blowing air into the straw and it will roll! I hope you enjoyed this craft, and it was very fun for me to make.
