How to Make a 3D Paper Origami Swan
SUPPLIES
-Lots of paper (5-10 sheets)
-Paper guillotine (optional, it makes it easier to cut the pieces)
-Scissors (if you don't have a paper guillotine)
-Orange marker or highlighter
-Black marker (or 2 small black paper dots)
MAKE PIECES
following the images, make a large batch of 3D origami pieces (you may need to make more later) when you cut the paper into the pieces, you can either cut them into either 16 or 32 squares (16 will make the sculpture bigger, as 32 will make it smaller)
SWAN BASE
Starting with 7 double pieces (2 pieces placed on each other in this shape \|/) then make a tower 7,7,6,5,4,3,2 (the double pieces are all placed on the left side) repeat this 4 times
CONNECT BASE INTO CIRCLE
As shown in the picture, connect your pieces into a circle
MAKE a BOTTOM
as shown, place your base upside down and put the pieces in as shown to make a bottom
MAKE THE TAIL
To make the tail make a tower 4, 3, 2, 1 then connect it as shown
MAKE THE WINGS
For the wings, use double pieces (these ones are two stacked directly on top of each other) and make a tower 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 repeat this twice and attach as shown
MAKE THE NECK
For the neck, make a tower of 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1. after that, make a new piece and colour it orange then put two dots on it as shown
