Start by removing the battery from the Ring doorbell, and putting it in your electronic recycling pile. Then take a saw to the to make enough room to put the wireless doorbell inside it. You will likely be sawing through some circuit boards and stuff, but that is fine. Those should also be put in your electronics recycling pile.

To get the new doorbell to fit inside the Ring, It might help to take the electronics of the new doorbell out of their housing.

Depending on the thickness of the new doorbell compared with the cavity you carved out in the Ring, you may need a small dowel to connect the buttons.

That's it! 100% private and secure, but with the added bonus of making delivery people think you are recording them, which is creepy.
