How to Make Your Own USB, the Only One in the World🤩🤩🤩

This time I made a usb!

I made a USB with a design inspired by 'Steampunk', one of the SF genres!

I tried to make with materials and tools that are common and easily available around me, but I encountered a huge difficulty in the middle, so I made it with a rare tool called the Dremel! Since the material is wood, it was difficult with a carving knife.

Still, I made it with the easiest materials to get, so I think it would be good to refer to the video and make good works too!

Get a useless wooden plank nearby and cut it bigger than the USB size.

I made a lathe and used the leftover wood.

It doesn't matter if it's a monitor stand, a desk to throw away, a tray, whatever wood it's made of.

Instead, you have to cut a lot more than you think when making it, so cut it a little longer than the USB size and cut it.

At first, I used a carving knife to cut it, but it took too long than I thought.

So I used a state-of-the-art tool called dramel.

Gather wood dust while cutting and grinding.

I will use it later.

Grind the inside surface with sandpaper and use the epoxy adhesive to insert the USB into the hole and fix it.

Mix the wood powder you collected earlier with the epoxy adhesive to make it a color similar to the original wood color.

Put the glue in the wood hole you dug, insert the USB, and let it harden for a day or so.

We will change the appearance to the shape you want.

I like beans, so I grinded them into pea shapes.

For a steampunk-shaped design, you need various cogs and gears.

I disassembled the servomotor and wrist watch to get the small size parts.

Please design in advance with the parts you have obtained.

Paint the parts in gold color.

Dig out the pea-shaped USB exterior so that the parts you designed earlier can fit in.

Then I applied wood stain and varnish to paint it the color I wanted.

Now, you can attach parts such as gears and cogs to the USB as designed.

Fix the parts using metal adhesive.

Also, the inner lid and the USB port must be painted with black lacquer.

When using metal adhesive and lacquer, be sure to do it in a well-ventilated place.

You can paint the areas you do not want to paint by wrapping them with masking tape.

Now peel off the last masking tape and you're done.
