How to Make Unique Origami Apple in Very Easy Way

Hi Readers in this instructables i will show you how i made this amazing apple that gives out the 3D effect when you hold it.

It looks fantastic and raises a question from viewers eye did you really make this?

But the catch here is you can't eat this apple even though you may feel to eat it!!

In the End you will make the exact same thing shown in the picture above!

Note: You are wrong if you think making this thing is not simple!

This is very easy to make, Only one thing here is you have to repeat some steps multiple times, But believe me this thing will make you happy at the end and it will be all worth it!

Perfect crafting idea for kids, Who wants to have a sweet family time can gather up and build this craft too!

One more interesting fact is the materials used to make this 3d apple is found around the home.

To make it even more easier i have added video tutorial of the same at the end of this article.

To begin with let me give a small list of supplies.

• Color paper of A4 size(5 sheets), Red or Green is most recommended as we are less aware of Apple in other colors except red and green!!
• Small pieces of black/brown and green color paper for stem and leaf
• Scissors
• Paper glue
• White sheet and a pen/pencil for marking
• Some unused time of yours!

• Fold the A4 sized color paper as in the image, now after folding you will exact half
• Now fold the half again, unfold and cut the marked areas
• End of the process you'll have 4 pieces from one sheet

I used 5 sheets to make this apple, now you may ask why 5?

5 because each sheet gives 4 pieces, so 5*4=20 pieces

and from this 20 pieces 2 apple pieces are made, so 20*2=40.

These many pieces are sufficient to give out the most desired results, if you are planning to use very less number of pieces you cannot expect best finishing from this apple.

So now out of 5, we have fold and cut 1 sheet, repeat same steps for other 4 sheets.

end of the process we have 5*4=20 slices of paper.

So we can proceed to work on these 20 slices of paper.

Just the images are enough for you to understand the steps also you can refer written tutorial below.

• Now from those 20 pieces of paper, Take out one
• Fold the piece into half and again fold that half
• carry over the same steps for other pieces as well
• End of this you will have 20 pieces of paper folded as said above

Template for this project is a HALF DRAWN APPLE.

You can directly draw in those 20 folded pieces of paper.

Or use a white sheet and trace on each piece like i did (by doing this we can finishing this job very quickly).

Now after you trace the HALF APPLE on sheet use scissor to cut.

Now when you unfold the sheet you will have 2 pieces of full apple.

Refer last image of this step to see those 2 happy pieces!

You have 40 pieces of full apple, fold it back to single piece.

You can easily understand the steps from image itself, if you find any difficulties there is a written step and also video at the end of this instructables to support you!

Now use the folding method shown in the above image steps

• Fold the full apple into half apple
• Fold from the bottom to top (image 1)
• Fold the folded piece to half
• Repeat same for back piece as well
• End of the process you have very small piece (refer last image of this step)

Unfold the piece and you will end up with magic patterns.

To make it simple i have named the folds and you can see the same in the 2nd image.

• There are numbers from 1 to 6
• After you unfold the paper just apply small amount of glue for 1,3 and 5
• Now fold it back
• Repeat the same for all 40 pieces
• Now after the glue is dry you will have 40 folded pieces
• I have named them again and this time too the numbering is same

Here you can apply glue to 2, 4 and 6 and stack the pieces on top of one another.

Repeat the steps over to get a full stack of apple, this will take some time but the process is very simple.

Allow to dry the glue completely.

Now only part left is gluing the last 2 faces, apply a small amount of glue and bring it together.

While you are doing this you can already start seeing the apple formation.

Allow some time for drying, and in mean time you can make stem and leaf.

Use a small piece of black/brown piece of color paper and glue its ends.

Cut the shape of leaf on a green color paper piece and glue them to the stem part of apple

Finally our apple is ready, But not for consumption!
