Gather All of Your Supplies and Ingredients


Step 1: Gather all your supplies and ingredients.
Supplies: Oven mitts, baking sheet, pan, mixing bowls, mixer, measuring spoons, measuring cups, knife, mix spatula.
Cake Ingredients:
½ cup butter
1 cup water
⅓ cup cocoa
⅓ cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½ cup milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Frosting:
½ cup butter soften
½ cup milk
⅓ cup cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
4 ½ cups powder sugar
Preaheat Oven

Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Butter, Water, Cocoa

Step 3: Add butter, water, cocoa, and oil into a pan. Turn the burner to medium heat. Heat until the butter melts. (Do not boil the mixture).
Flour, Sugar, Soda, Salt

Step 4: In a mixing bowl add your flour, sugar, soda, and salt.
Mix Ingredients Well

Step 5: Add the hot ingredients from the pan into the mixing bowl and mix well.
Milk, Eggs, Vanilla

Step 6: Add milk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix the ingredients well.
Grease Cake Sheet


Step 7: Grease a large cake sheet. Pour the mixture on to cake sheet. Spread it out evenly.
Bake at 350 Degrees

Step 8: Bake at 350 degrees for 15-30 minutes. Be careful when removing from the oven, use oven mits.
Frosting

9: Mix all the frosting ingredients together. Frost cake while it is still warm.
