Do you like stickers? Have you ever tried making your own? When I was a child, I loved sticking bandages and stickers on anything I could. It felt like I was fixing the world through my stickers. In my first-ever Instructable, I'll be showing you how to easily make stickers you can stick on almost anything! All you need is a few materials commonly found in most households.

Supplies

In order to make this craft, you'll need:

  1. Paper
  2. Scissors
  3. Drawing/writing utensils
  4. Tape
  5. Wax or Parchment paper
  6. (Optional: Printer, device with printing capabilities)

Making Your Design

Using your paper and drawing/writing materials, create any design you like. You can make it any size you want, however it needs to be smaller than the wax or parchment paper you're using. (Optional: If you don't want to draw, you can also print out free-to-use images from sites like Artvee.)

Making Your Sticker

Now that you have your sticker design, cut it out using your scissors. Lay it flat against your wax or parchment paper and measure a square around it. Leaving some excess at the sides, cut the wax or parchment paper to the shape of your sticker design.

Putting It All Together

Now take your wax or parchment square and cover it in strips of tape. Do not add your design just yet. Try to cut each piece about the same length. Make sure they lie one on top of the other, this will make it easier to peel off later (layer, make them touch).

Now put your design on top of your taped-up parchment or wax. If you've done the last step correctly, the tape should be face down on the parchment or wax and not sticking to your design. Finally repeat the last step, this time cover your design in tape and your sticker backing (parchment or wax) in a second layer of tape. When you're done, smooth it out to release any air bubbles.

Sticker Time!

Trim the excess tape while leaving an outline around your sticker. Bend your sticker at a corner to separate the wax or parchment from the first layer of tape. Stick your homemade sticker anywhere you'd like!
