How to Make Solar Powered Car With Powerful Torque in a Very Easy Way
Hi creators in this project I made a solar car, When I say solar-powered car you might think it is just a solar car! But it is not.
This solar car has powerful torque since BO motors are used here and the body of this car is made with recycled cardboard and the solar panel used here works even with less sunlight.
With some amount of sunlight and a wide space with sunlight exposure, this car works just fine.
If you are new to the world of building solar-powered gadgets or moving objects I will ask you to try this project.
This project helps you to understand the basic principles of energy conversion and this is an essential concept to learn.
Now to begin with we will gather the materials to build this car, also don't forget to watch the tutorial video given at the end of the article.
Supplies
Cardboard
Hot glue
Wire stripper
A place with good sunlight exposure
Scissor
Preparing Wheels and Motor
I got the wheels separate and the BO motor separate so I had to join them together.
Connect the wheels to the shaft of the BO motor, There is no need for any screws since it is joined by using press fit mechanisms.
This will take less than a minute and repeat the same steps for the other 2 wheels.
Wiring and Slots
First I soldered wires to the BO motor terminals, and I tested each motor individually to check the direction of rotation.
Connect the wires of the DC motor to the battery and note down the direction of rotation.
When this is known you can connect the wires of even rotation of direction to one single wire and repeat the same for the other side too.
To hold the BO motors in place I made holes in the cardboard by taking measurements of the BO motor body.
Cut the slots and make sure it just fits the motor and not too loose or tight.
Circuit and Connections
The 3 motors used here are BO motors and all 3 are connected to the solar panel directly.
The parallel method of the circuit is used on this solar car, i connected the 3 motors and connected a single input wire and this was later directly connected to a terminal of the solar panel.
To elevate the solar panel for maximum sun exposure I used a piece of cardboard and secured it with hot glue with some modifications I was able to hide the wires.
Use a decent amount of hot glue to stick the wires and also to insulate the wires.
You also can make this circuit with a PCB, Complete your electronic projects in the best way from PCBWay

Working
Working is very simple there are no switches to power this solar car, All we need is a good sunlight.
Take the car outdoors in an open space, Keep the var on the ground, and watch the sunlight do its job, This car will work in almost all kinds of terrain since the gears of the DC motor will help the wheel spin not mattering on the type of terrain.
If you want to power this off all you have to do is put a piece of cardboard to cover the solar panel.
This completes the building of our project, Thank you for showing interest.
Video Tutorial With Working
This video is exciting since I can say you might not have seen such a solar car with high torque, From this video you can see that this car climbs upon medium obstacles with ease.
If you are a beginner I highly recommend you to build this solar car as you can learn a lot of things.
That was all about this project if you have any questions ask me in the comments, Thanks and have a great day :)
