Decide What Type of Slime You Would Like to Make

There are many different slimes that you can make. each has a different way of making it, different supplies, a different look, and a different overall feeling.

Make a List of Everything That You Need

I have included a list of what you will need. Make sure that you either make your own list, or use mine because each of the items on this list is very important in creating the slime.

Take Your List to the Store and Buy What You Don't Have at Home

If you see that there are things on the list that you don't have at home, go to the closest grocery store and grab whatever you are missing. Most stores will have everything you need.

Find a Clean Space to Make the Slime

This is a small but important step in creating your slime. slime can be very messy process, even if you are careful. So, make sure that when you are looking for a place to make it, it is away from carpets, food, animals, babies, etc.

Add Glue and Baby Oil

Add around 4 cups of glue and 4 tbs of baby oil into your bowl

Mix

As you add the baby oil, it may look a little but weird for a second. Keep mixing until the glue looks like it did before you added the oil. The oil is not supposed to act as an activator, but to make your slime softer and glossier.

Add Coloring

Add 4 drops of food color to start, you can always add more.

continue mixing the coloring into the glue until it is evenly mixed. Add more drops if you want a darker color.

Problems

If you follow all of these steps and have slime that is too hard or not stretchy, add 1/2 cup of glue at a time. Then mix until the slime is how you want it to be. If your slime is too sticky, add 1/4 detergent at a time. Then mix until it is how you would like it.
