How to Make Silent Air Compressor With Refrigerator Motor and Fire Extinguisher
Hello guys. I made a budget silent air compressor to use it for airbrushing and scale modeling .
Supplies
2 fire extinguishers
1 refrigerator motor
Full list coming soon.
Disassembly and Remove the Paint
Disassembly the empty fire extinguisher.
Apply paint remover and wait for 30 mins and then remove the pain.
Connect the Fire Extinguishers
I didnt find fittings for this fire extinguisher so I used 1" pipe and 1" angle fittings to connect the fire extinguishers. Also I used a 5cm x 5cm fire extinguishers.
Making the Body
I used 5cm x 5mm flat bar to make the stands.
For refrigerator motor stand I used 2mm metal sheet .
Drilling holes for 1/4 female connectors and weld it.
I also made a handle from a pipe and flat bar.
Finally paint it first with primer then with metallic orange and clear coat .
Assembling
On the pressure switch we have to connect the pressure regulator, safety valve , 1/4 quick release and pressure gauge. Next step we have to connect the check valve on the body and then the discharge line with pressure switch . Also we need a pressure gauge for the body.
For the refrigerator motor we need to connect the pump to tank interconnect to the check vavle , an air filter and a cap for the oil line.
Last step we have to connect the refrigerator motor with the pressure switch but every motor have different wiring diagram so be carefull.
Now the silent air compressor is done . I ll use it for small projects like airbrushing and scale modeling.
