In this instructable I have shown you how I have made this robotic arm, and how I have controlled this arm with smartphone.

How to Make Robotics Arm At Home

Component List

1. NodMCU 1.0 ESP8266 Development Board (x1)

2. Servo Motor (x4)

3. Dotted Veroboard or Customize PCB board (x1)

4. 3D Printed arm (x1)

5. Heard Cardboard or Acrylic Sheet (x1)

6. Some Nuts and bolts

7. Female Header, Male Header, Switch,

For this project, I am using NodMCU 1.0 Esp8266 Development board because it WiFi enable development board so any other wireless module is not required for connecting with smart phone, If you want to build it using Arduino development board and Bluetooth module, you can do it little bit modification. But in my opinion NodMCU development board is the best choices.

Connect

Servo(All) Vcc to NodMCU 5V or Vin

Servo(All) GND to NodMCU GND

Servo(1) to NodMCU D5

Servo(2) to NodMCU D6

Servo(3) to NodMCU D7

Servo(4) to NodMCU D8

** I have used Laptop USB port to powered the hand.

After completing my circuit design I have created gerber file of my design and move it to a new folder and zip it.

After that i have placed a order to http://www.jlcpcb.com

JLCPCB is a great PCB manufacturer in china, their PCB quality is very good, like industrial slandered & the cost of the PCB is also very cheap 10 PCB at only $2 .

Soldering

I have used Male and female header pin, so that I can easily connect servo and development board.

I have build the user interface using remotexy, using remotexy you can easily build an user interface without knowing any extra programming skill. I have build this UI for testing the arm that either it is working properly or not. And other one is my main UI.

** Install remotexy library to your Arduino IDE and Upload the testing code or the main code
