How to Make Reusable Beeswax Food Wraps

We're going to be making reusable beeswax food wraps!

These a great way to help the environment but also to get your food fresh.

• 5 to 10g of beeswax per wrap
• Cotton Fabric
• 2 sheets of baking paper
• Micro Grater
• An iron set to the highest setting

Place the fabric onto a sheet of baking paper.

Evenly cover the fabric with beeswax.

By using a micro grater, you'll waste less beeswax and also get a more even coverage of wax.

Cover the fabric with another sheet of baking and slowly iron over the paper working from the centre out.

Make sure to evenly iron the fabric.

Lift the second sheet of baking paper to check for any areas that haven't been covered in beeswax.

Grate more beeswax onto to those areas.

Continue to iron evenly, working from the centre out.

Remove the top layer of baking paper, look for any areas that are still covered.

Turn the fabric over and cover it with baking paper.

Iron again, this will allow the final areas to be covered in the beeswax.

Once the fabric is fully covered in beeswax, allow it to cool before using it.

Make sure to keep the baking paper as there will be beeswax lift, which will make future wraps easier to make.
