How to Make Pumpkin Pretzels
This very simple recipe for pumpkin pretzels is perfect for getting the kids involved this Halloween. There’s no sharp knives and no oven – just some melting & decorating! All the fun without any of the boring stuff. Here is what you will need.
- Large bag of M&M’s
- 200-300g White Chocolate
- Orange Food Colouring Gel
- Bag of Salted Pretzels
Line a large baking sheet with baking paper or a silicon baking mat.
Remove all the green M&M’s from the bag. (The bonus of only needing the green ones is you get to eat all the others later!)
Making the Orange Coloured Chocolate
Break the white chocolate into pieces and place into a large glass bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds then give it a stir. Continue to microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring between each time, until the chocolate is completely melted & smooth.
Using cocktail sticks, add small amounts of the orange food colouring gel at a time until you get the colour you like. Make sure to stir well so all the colour is mixed in.
Decorating
Now all you need to do is dip each pretzel into the orange chocolate and shake off the excess.
Place onto the prepared baking sheet & press a green M&M into the top.
Tips & Chilling
If the chocolate starts to get a little thick, pop it into the microwave for 10 seconds and give it a stir.
Place them into the fridge to set.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
The whole salty/sweet combo works SO well! These are far more addictive than I anticipated. In fact, I will probably double the recipe the next time I make them! They would definitely look the part on any Halloween party table, or even in little cellophane bags tied with ribbons for those unsuspecting trick or treaters that knock on your door.
