Stir in vanilla extract.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

dry ingredientss and whisk.jpeg

In a separate medium-sized owl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt

3 1/4 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt.

pouring dry ingredients.jpeg

Gradually add flour mixture into the peanut butter batter while the mixer is on. Make sure it is well mixed.

chilled dough.jpeg

place your dough in the refrigerator and chill for 30 minutes to 1 hour (if the dough is too sticky or cookie come out too flat, chill for another 30 minutes)

lined cookie sheet.jpeg

Preheat the oven to 375 Fahrenheit (190 Celsius) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Pour 1/2 cup of sugar into a small bowl and set it aside.

Once the dough has chilled, remove from the refrigerator and roll into balls (whatever size you would like your cookies to be.) Roll the dough balls through sugar and place on the prepared cookie sheet/sheets.

cookies post bake.jpeg

Bake cookies on 375F for 8-10 minutes then remove from the oven and allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes. Use your Reeses and gently make an indent by pressing the top of the Reeses into the top of each cookie. Let the cookies cool completely on the cookie sheet before decorating. (make sure you take the Reeses off after you indent, we made that mistake)

Marshmallow Cobweb

marshmallows in a bowl.jpeg

Place about 1/4 cup of your mini marshmallows in a small microwave-safe dish.

(You need 2 cups of mini marshmallows in total)

Microwave for about 10 seconds or until marshmallows begin to puff.

Remove from the microwave and use a fork or spoon to stir, deflating your marshmallows.

Using your thumb and forefinger of each hand, pinch some of the marshmallow filling. Stretch and pull the marshmallow apart with your fingers and drape it over your cooled cookies.

The marshmallow will cool quickly and become difficult to use, when this happens, move onto another 1/4 cup of marshmallows and repeat steps until all cookies are decorated.

Allow marshmallows to set for several minutes before proceeding with the chocolate. The longer you wait the less sticky and easier to make.

Spider Decorating Instructions

melted chocolate.jpeg

Prepare your chocolate mleting wafers of your choosing according to the package instructions. Allow to cool 5 minutes before proceeding. (if chocolate is too hot, it will be difficult to decorate.)

10 ounces chocolate melting wafers

dripping chocolate .jpeg

Pour into a small ziploc bag and snip a small corner off the bag (size it depending on how big you want your legs to be)

Pipe a small amount of chocolate into the indent on your peanut butter cookie. Work one cookie at a time because the chocolate hardens kinda quickly.

Place one of your reeses cup (larger side facing down) into the melted chocolate.

putting on the legs.jpeg

Pipe four chocolate lines on either side of the reeses for the spider ¨legs¨.

Dab a small amount of the chocolate on the back of a candy eye and press it against the side of the reeses cup, repeat with another eye for your spiders eyes.

Enjoy!
