How to Make Party Dare Selector Robot
Hi Creative people! In this instructable, I will show you an interesting project that goes by the name Party Dare selector Robot.
Let me tell you a funny thing I didn't know what name would perfectly suit this and came up with the best name!
Have you ever been to a party where there will always be some sort of trouble in selecting a person to take up some challenges? Indeed the answer should be yes.
Rock paper scissors or Spinning the bottle are the most common ways of selecting a person and people who are experts easily cheat, I wanted to put an end to this in fact I have been cheated many times.
So I made this robot that will select the person randomly and the best part is it won't cheat!
How does Party Dare selector Robot work?
This has 4 servos or in short 4 pointing fingers that will point at the person standing in front of them, and this servo works when an obstacle is detected by the ultrasonic sensor.
The selection is completely random and nobody can guess to whom this robot might point its finger next.
This can also be used to play many other games like choosing the gift.
Keep the gifts inside the number name them as per your wish and ask someone to pick a number and turn on this robot if that person is lucky the robot might point to his selected number, these were a few of many examples of the games that can be played with this robot.
I highly recommend you try building this robot as it can bring a lot of fun to the family or a friend's event.
Supplies
Arduino Uno got from here
Ultrasonic sensor
Micro servo from amazon
Small breadboard
Jumper wires
Battery holder
Lithium-ion batteries
Cardboard box
Party with a few people to take on the challenge!

Circuit Diagram and Codes
The circuit diagram consists of 3 micro servos and all the servo positive and negative pins are connected to the + and - power rails of the breadboard whereas the signal pins of the servo are connected to D3, D6, D5, and D9 on the Uno.
The ultrasonic sensor has 4 pins, and here the power pins will be directly connected to the + and - power rails on the breadboard, the Trig pin to D2, and the Echo to D3 of uno.
Since I will be powering this project with the battery I added a switch control to turn on and off the power whenever necessary.
After we have completed the circuit you can directly upload the codes to the uno, you can directly copy and paste the below code in your IDE, check for proper port number and type of board, and upload the codes.
After the code is done uploading remove the USB cable from uno and connect the supply from battery.
When you turn on the switch and place your hands in front of the sensor the servo starts to work randomly one at a time.
Now we will work on adding the closure for this circuit.

Box and Servos
For the casing of electronics, I made use of an empty cardboard carton, the length of the cardboard that I used was 26cm.
I marked the areas where I will start to wire the micro servo, as I used 4 servos I made 4 holes, and later inserted the wires of the servo inside these.
Later connect all the servos back to the uno, Connect the power supply, and check for the movement of the servo, if everything is good secure the servos with hot glue.
Repeat the same steps for all the other 3 servos.
Adding Sensor and Battery
I chose to keep the ultrasonic distance sensor in the front because the moving object will be in the front.
I made the slot on the cardboard by taking the dimensions of the sensor and later cutting them out, I inserted the sensor and it was all set.
Now the only thing left was the electronics and I carefully inserted them inside the box by connecting it to the battery.
The switch was left outside which I glued later when I covered the leftover side with a piece of cardboard.
Finishing
Now we have almost completed the project we will finish the project by adding the stickers, In my case I will be using the finger-pointing stickers.
To the horns of the servo, I glued the popsicle sticks later to these sticks I glued the sticker.
Repeat the same steps for the other 3 servos too, end of this step we have the project ready only thing pending is testing it out!
How to Use
Using this is the fun part, Nobody is amazed like the creator testing his own creations!
There are many ways by which you can make use of this creation, Just power on the switch and place your hand in front of the sensor, upon detecting the obstacle the servo starts to work randomly.
How to play a game with this
Say that you have 4 players ready for some challenge at a party, Place this robot in front of the people and one has to keep their hand in front of the sensor the hand points at a person now that person will be the one who will be taking up the challenge!
There is no cheating like spinning the bottle game! That all with this amazing project, Any queries can be asked in the comments, Have fun building this project.
Working Video
Here is the complete video of How to Make Party Dare selector Robot, You must not miss its working.
This is a cool thing if you carry this to a party instead of a good old way this will hype the mood of everyone.
If you have any suggestions for any sort of improvements you can always reach out to me in the comments, Happy building, and have a good day :)
