Every year since I was little my mom and I would make paper snowflakes. It is a cheap, easy to do craft and it's great for kids. Have fun!

What You Need

This project is really cheap and simple. All you need are a pair of scissors and a sheet of paper per snowflake.

Fold the Paper

Folding the paper is the hardest part of this project (but still easy). Fold the paper hamburger style. Then fold the corner over so it is uneven like the picture. Fold the other corner over making sure that there is a point at the top of the paper. Now, fold the whole thing in half like the picture shows. Finally, cut the corner off like in the picture.

Cut the Shape

Now we get to do the fun part. Cutting out the shape! Cut anywhere you want with just a few exceptions. 1. Don't cut the point. and 2. Don't completely cut the hinge part off. That's about it! After you cut it, unfold it to reveal an awesome snowflake!
