How to Make Paper Decorations for Your Wall

Have you ever looked at your walls and thought they were plain and needed something more? Well, this is more!

In this project, you will learn how to make fun paper decorations in just 10 easy steps.

Step 1 - Decide What Your Wall Needs

Look at your wall and decide what would look good on it.

Step 2 - Gather Your Supplies

Gather all of your supplies: colored paper of your choice, a pencil, scissors, string (thin yarn most preferably), tape, markers, and pens, (you can also use any decorative supplies you want these are just what you will need in order to make it!)

Step 3 - Outline Your Shape

On your paper, draw an outline of the shape of your decorations.

Step 4 - Cut Out Your Shape

With your scissors, carefully cut out your decoration from the colored paper.

Step 5 - Decorate Your Shape

Grab all of your decorating supplies and decorate your shape! Grab all of your markers, pens, and other supplies and have fun with them!

Step 6 - Make a Hole

With your scissors, make a small hole on your decoration on the top of it. Another way to do this is you can also take a sharpened pencil and pierce a hole with your pencil!

Step 7 - Lace the String

Lace the string through the decoration from the back to the front. Optional: once you lace the string through the decoration, it might be helpful to put a small piece of tape on the back where the string is laced though to prevent sliding on the line of string for the future.

Step 7 - One or More?

Now you have the decision to make more decorations or stick to only one.

Step 9 - Where on the Wall?

With your decoration(s) chooses the spot on the wall that your think it is plain and needed something more.

Step 10 - Hang Up Decoration(s)
