How to Make Omurice

This instructable will teach you how to make Omurice! It is a straightforward dish that takes an average of 20 minutes. It is from Japan but is a popular dish in Korea too!

Supplies

Any type of rice (preferably white rice, there is instant rice in the market)

Bacon or ham, I chose bacon crumble

Ketchup (preferred) or any sweet and tangy sauce; combine if you'd like

Eggs

Chopped vegetables (green beans, carrots, and onion, preferably)

Oil or butter

Milk

Rice cooker (optional)

Pan

Time, you always need time for cooking ;)

Optional Step

If you have a rice cooker at home, rinse the rice until the water runs slightly clear. Then cook until nice and chewy (different types of rice have other times to cook, so I can not say precisely how long, instant rice has slight variation due to being pre-cooked).

Make the Insides

Get a pan, put a drizzle of oil, and put the chopped vegetables and bacon. Fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add the instant rice (or the rice from step 1) with salt and pepper, and fry for 2-3 more minutes. Set aside.

The Egg

Pop 2 eggs into the bowl with some milk and mix. Then put it in a pan with some oil and scramble to get fluffy. It should keep the same circular shape as the pan. Don't worry about it not being even. After 3 minutes, flip it slowly, fast at the end, and then turn off the heat. Put the rice you set aside on the plate and the egg on top of it.

Final Touches

Add the sauce and the final touches. Then boom! There you go, Omurice! Enjoy! You may add more ingredients because this version is more adjustable (green or regular onions could be good).
