How to Make Nice and Easy Patterns for Anything!

Here I made some nice designs and patterns that can be used for decoration or whatever you want!

They are very easy to make and you can do them for free on computer and even a smartphone!

This type of design unleashes your creativity to the max!

1. Vector/Editing software - Adobe illusrator, inkscape (free), pixellab (mobile)

For this tutorial I used inkscape which is a free editing software on computer but you can really use any other software of that niche.

To start we have to open our app or software we're using and open a New Document with dimensions 512x512 px

Now, press the pencil/line tool in order to make lines.And now make a line that goes halfway vertically down the canvas as shown in the image above.

Allign it to be in the middle according to the circled part in the image above. (width doesnt concern us)

Get the pencil/line tool again and draw a line from the center of the canvas to the right corner.

Now you have a triangle which will be your work area!

This is where the real fun begins!

Here in the triangle we just made we will make any sort of shapes or designs we want, go wild with it!

Preferably use the pen tool to make custom shapes.

Here you just make whatver you like with different shapes so when you're happy with what you filled in that circle you can go on to the next step.

Now select ALL the shapes you created in that triangle and group them. (Lines can be removed now)

Then, you want to duplicate that group.

Now, you select the group you just duplicated and press on Object, Flip Horizontal.

And now adjust and allign the flipped group so it is exactly mirrored to the initial group.

*this might be different on other softwares*

Now, you will repeat this process so you can fill the entire canvas (Duplicate)(Object, Flip Vertically).

Just play with the commands until you've got a symmetric design.

Bravo! You made your pattern! Now it's time to colour it and add some final touches.

Select all the layers and go to fill or gradient to add colour and life to your pattern.

This is all preference so play around until you're happy!
