How to Make Nachos
This is quite a simple recipe and the ingredients used can be found at your local grocery market! Enjoy! :)
Preparing Our Ingredients
For our meat, we are going to use approximately 300g of minced beef. The beef is going to be cooked with half an onion minced and 2 garlic cloves minced or diced very finely. We will be seasoning our beef with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, paprika, cumin and Italian herbs.
For our toppings, we will be using half a bell pepper (chopped), half of a tomato (diced), shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese and a few jalapeños.
Lastly for our nachos, you can use any kind of your preference, in this recipe I used Kirkland organic tortilla chips.
Cooking Our Ingredients
This recipe requires an oven and a stove and we will be pre-cooking some of the toppings used. The onion, garlic and beef should be thoroughly sautéed before you start layering your nachos for the oven. Be careful to not burn yourself and always wear gloves when removing something from the oven.
Assembly
Before you start this process, preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
After your beef has been cooked, we are going to layer the nachos so we can pack as much taste as possible! First, in a glass pan, place nachos over the bottom of the pan but dont stack too high as we are going to add another layer of nachos. Place a little less than 1/2 of your beef on the nachos and spread them out as evenly as possible. Then add shredded cheese on top of the nachos and make sure you fill in the cracks. Lastly, add some of your tomatoes, pepper and jalapeños. The first layer should look like this. Repeat this process one more time.
Placing Into the Oven
Your nachos should look a little like this and they are ready! When your oven is ready at 180 degrees, carefully place the nachos into the oven and cook them for approximately 9-12 minutes.
Nachos Complete!
Enjoy! :)
