  1. In a bowl whisk 3 cups all-purpose flour with 1.5 teaspoon salt. Set it aside for later.
  2. To a bowl, add lukewarm water, then add the sugar and yeast. Let it activate for 5-10 minutes. You will know the yeast is activated when it's bubbly on top.
  3. Once the yeast is activated, add to it lukewarm milk, yogurt, and oil.
  4. Add the flour mixture and mix until combined.

  5. Now add the garlic (grated). Start adding the remaining flour. Add 1 tablespoon at a time and add more if the flour is too sticky. (Don't make it too dry though)

  6. Knead with hands for 1-2 minutes until the dough is smooth. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl.

  7. Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 60-80 minutes. If it is cold where you live(Japan), pre-heat your oven for few minutes and then turn it off. (The oven should be off!)

  8. After this time, the dough should ideally be double the size. Punch it lightly to release the air.

  9. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. The dough should be sticky so oil your hands while dividing the dough. Then cover it with a towel let them rest for 10 minutes.

  10. Meanwhile, melt 3 tablespoons of butter, add the minced garlic and chopped cilantro. Make sure to have the garlic butter ready to brush on the naan.

  11. Heat up an iron skillet on medium-high heat. An iron skillet will yield better results!

  12. Make a dough ball and roll it into an oval shape. Apply little oil on top of the dough before rolling it. Oil your roller as well. DO NOT ROLL the dough like you would roll a tortilla. Just "Strech" it

  13. Transfer the rolled naan onto the skillet. Let it cook for a couple of minutes until you see those Naan bubbles on top. Brush the naan with the prepared garlic butter. Make sure to flip and cook the other side until you get a golden brown color from both sides.

  14. Remove from heat and brush with more garlic butter.

  15. You can serve this with any curry.

  16. ENJOY!
