Hello Friends in this instructables i will show you how to make this small yet very efficient bubble blower machine that is made using 3d printed parts.

This machine is an attention grabber if you take this to parties, Since we have Halloween, Christmas and new year parties around the corner add more value to your parties with this blower.

Don't worry if you are new to 3d printing, My in-depth explanations will make sure anyone will be able to follow and make this bubble blower.

To begin with in simple words let me explain how this bubble blower works

Just you fill the bubble solution, If you don't know how to make that stay tuned i have explained that too below, Turn on the knob, you can adjust the speed of the motor and air blower to increases the bubble and the blowing speed.

The batteries are rechargeable and you can expect longer operating hours just with the single charge.

I have made few other prototypes earlier, But this is very compact compared to them and it will fit in the palm of your hands and it can blow bubble to an extended period of time considering the battery backup time.

Don't miss to check the video given in the end of this project so you can finally have an idea on how this machine will blow bubbles.

Build it and see the fun, all the best and happy building, Continue reading below.

I have designed the Body for this bubble blower machine by myself using tinkercad, You can make the design if you have hands on experience or simply use my STL files that i have given below.

Download the files and open it using slicer, In my case i will be using ultimaker cura, There is nothing to change, the infill was 30%

There is no need of any rafts or supports at the time of printing, There is no need of any post process of the model after it is printed.

The printing time was around 35minutes for the main frame and for the bubble making slots it was 20mins, The choice of color is yours.

Feel free to customize the model according to your needs, scale it if you want to but keep the standard size of electronics in mind

Making Bubble Creating Part

This is the part that is responsible for bubble generation, i have made several designs before coming up with this model.

I have made more than what was needed, I have cut the pieces into 2 and later using super glue i have connected piece by piece using superglue.

The final bubble maker will look like as shown in the forth image of this step, After that part is done i have attached it to the wheel, This is because if i add this directly it was causing some vibration that will impact the bubble forming process.

After you attach it to the wheel to make it even more stronger add a drop of hot glue to the center.

There is no risk of water entering the motor because there are holes that will avoid seepage and also the gears are water proof!I

Assembling

There is no much assembly required, Already i have given areas on the 3d printed part where you will need to glue the other components.

The DC motor that holds the bubble making hardware was coupled first, To do this i used a small piece of 3d printed box and completed the task using hotglue, make sure the glue is not too hot, that may disfigure the model.

Now you can glue the motor setup, hold and wait for some time untill the glue is dry completely.

In the end we can add the dc fan, In my case considering the size the fit was really great, If you are using same size like me it will fit yours too.

Now after these 3d printed parts assembly is complete we can head over to making the control circuit for this blower.

Some Electronics

The circuit is very basic and simple, I have used battery holder with removable batteries.

When you are making connections it is recommended to disconnect the batteries, Wires from the holder are connected to the motor controller.

Now connect the dc fan and the bubble making setup motor to the motor control part, In my case will be using a 6v dc fan.

In case if you are using 12v dc fan, You can connect to the battery directly because our battery is providing 7.4v voltage and with this it will blow out enough air to blow the bubbles.

Test the circuit by connecting to the battery and if everything goes fine we can proceed to setting up the electronics on a piece of board.

I recommend using board made from plastic or wood since if you use cardboard it may cause damage because of spillage in anyway.

You also can simplify this circuit with a Simple small PCBComplete your electronic projects in the best way from PCBWay

How to Use

Using this is soo much fun if you have build this by yourself, You will witness the working of your project you made.

Start by adding the batteries, if you are using other type of batteries i recommend you to have a closed space on this part since exposing to liquids may damage the battery.

Fill the machine with bubble generating liquid, In my case i mixed shampoo and few drops of dish washing liquid together with some water and poured it to the area.

Make sure that the bubble creating part is immersed inside this solution, Now turn on the power knob, The dc fan also should turn on.

Increase the speed gradually until you see the bubble formation occurs and it starts blowing out.

In my case this setup gave me continuous bubbles for long time, You can increase the bubble time by expanding the bubble solution and storing it on a larger size container while the solution flow to this area using submersible pump.

This was all about this mini bubble blower, experiment with different setups and let me know if you made a better version than me! Thanks for reading and consider watching the video below.
