How to Make Lavender Oil

Ingredients/items:
Lavender leaves and flowers
Grapeseed oil
Mason jar with lid
*I will use my lavender oil for candle scents and other holistic creative creations!

Cut

First, cut a handful of lavender leaves and flowers from your plant (s).

Next, cut the lavender with sissors and place in a mason jar. Press the lavender down.

OR

Tie the lavender in a bundle and hang to dry it for a few weeks. Than crush the leaves and flowers into a jar.

Oil

Pour the grapeseed oil over the lavender until it is covered.

Last, set the lavender oil in a window or on a shelf for 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks remove the lavender and put the oil in smaller containers. You can also heat the oil and lavender together for a faster infusion. (see last picture )

*Use within 6 months.

OR

If your using the dry method, it will take 4 to 6 weeks to be absorbed by the carrier oil.
