How to make Marshmallow Fondant using Jell-O for flavor and color. You can also make fondant with a stand mixer fitted with a dough attachment. I have a video on that on my YouTube channel.

Gather Things Needed

Large microwave safe mixing bowl
10.5 oz. package Miniature Marshmallows
Powdered sugar 4-6 cups
Vegetable shortening
Jell-O
Boiling water
Plastic wrap
Add Jell-O

Add 9 tsps. of Jell-O into mixing bowl. Add 2 tbls. boiling water and mix well.
Microwave Marshmallows

Add the package of mini marshmallows. Microwave in 30 second intervals stirring between each of intervals until the marshmallows are just melted. 1.5 - 2 minutes,
Add Powdered Sugar

Stir in 3 cups of powdered sugar.

Grease your work surface and your hands with vegetable shortening. Turn out the fondant mixture.
Knead in additional powdered sugar a little at a time. Knead until the dough is no longer sticky and has the consistency of play dough.
Grease the dough ball with vegetable shortening and wrap in several layers of plastic wrap. Place in a air tight container. Let it rest overnight.
