Homemade Peanut Butter - It's Yummy

Peanut Butter goes well with any breakfast, especially sandwiches. Peanuts are rich in energy which keeps you active all day long and it has various nutrients and vitamins optimal for good health.

In this recipe I'm going to show you How to make peanut butter, which is a spread for bread and nan. It is easy to make a breakfast with peanut butter under five minutes so if you are late to work peanut butter is your go to option.

Ingredients

Here is what you need to add to your shopping list,

  • 200g Peanuts
  • 1 Table Spoon Honey
  • 1 Table Spoon Olive Oil
  • Pinch of Salt to taste

Roast Peanuts

First, we need to roast the peanuts, this gives it a roasted flavor. Roasting the peanuts makes it easy to remove the outer layer.

Roast the peanuts on a frying pan until it gets dark brown in color.

Removing the Outer Layer

After roasting the peanuts it is time, it will become easy to remove the outer layer. Allow the peanuts to cool after roasting it, then rub the peanuts together to create some friction which will make the outer layer of the peanuts to separate easily.

After you have roasted the peanuts, add it to the blender along with, Salt, Honey and Olive Oil. Blend the mixture until it turns into a paste, if you like your peanut butter to be crunchy, save some peanuts and add it to the mixture after the mixture has turned into a paste. This way the peanuts you added last will remain in tiny chunks.

Serve Time

Now you should have your home made peanut butter ready to be served in a breakfast or snack. Put the peanut butter into an air tight jar to keep it preserved for long.

You can make different flavors of peanut butter by adding almonds or cocoa powder (and sugar).
