How to Make Homemade Canned Salmon Using Pressure Cooker
Why buy supermarket salmon, when you can have homemade great and healthy canned salmon that takes only 5 ingredients to make and you should have it ready in 2 hours max !
Equipment you will need:
● Cutting board
● Knife
● Three jars and lids
● Pressure cooker
● Metal rack
We will show you 3 different flavours in the instructions, but just by using your imagination, you can make endless combinations and satisfy everybody's tastes. Besides this being very delicious, the canned salmon is also a great source of protein and omega 3 fats.

Prepare All Your Ingredients
Specifically, you will need:
2 lb of Salmon
Juice of one Lemon
1 stick of fresh Ginger (4 inches)
A handful of Basil
A handful of Mint
1 all Garlic
1 tsp of Paprika
1 tsp of Curry
2 tbsp of Salt
4 cups of Water
Cut the Salmon
Start by cutting the salmon in smaller pieces and placing it evenly into the glass jars
Season Each Jar
Season each jar with lemon juice and salt
Combinations of Tastes
Now the funny part. In the first jar, add the garlic and basil. In the second add paprika
and ginger. In the third add curry and mint. These are the combinations. But you can make endless ones, just think of all the flavours you can make.
Close the Jars
Close the jars, but do not over tighten them
Place the Rack Inside the Pressure Cooker
Place the rack inside the pressure cooker, add water and place the jars inside. The water should cover the fist 1/3 of the jars
Turn the Cooker on
Place the pot in medium high heat and, when it starts to steam, reduce to a minimum
and let it cook for 90 minutes.
Enjoy Your Canned Salmon
When done, don't forget to let the jars cool before handling them. Keep them in the fridge for up to 3 months if close, or for 7 days after opening.
