How to Make Dough
120 grams refined flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt water (for kneading) •
1/4 tsp vinegar
Gathering All the Ingredients
For the Chicken Filling (if you are non-veg):
1 chicken (minced)
onions, finely chopped
black pepper powder
1 tbsp oil
tsp garlic paste
tsp soya sauce
Salt to taste
For the Vegetarian filling:
cabbage and carrots
onions, finely chopped
garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp oil •
1/4 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp soya sauce
to taste salt
to taste pepper
1 tbsp corn flour
Mixing the Ingredients
- Cut the cabbage and carrot into very small pieces
- Finely chop the onions. Once it’s done, grab a big bowl
- If you are non-vegetarian, mix the chicken. If you are vegetarian, just leave it like that
- In a bowl mix the cabbage, onion, chicken or vegetable, after that add
- 1/2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp oil o 1/4 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp soya sauce
- to taste salt o to taste pepper
- 1 tbsp corn flour
After adding everything in the bowl, mix it together nice and thoroughly, so you can smell the delicious smells coming from the mix. Also, the picture shown below gives you a good idea of what it should look like.
Wrapping the Dough
- The ingredients of the chicken or vegetable filling that we just made, according to your choice in a bowl. Keep aside.
- Roll the dough into very thin 4-5-inch rounds. Put the small amount of mix ingredients in the center of the dough, as shown in the picture.
- Bring the edges together and twist to seal it, as shown in the picture
- Put the wrapped Momos in each steamer except the one in water
- Let it cook for 5-6 minutes and then flip the steamer to each other leaving the water
- Check back again in 5 minutes, you would notice a change in color. The picture is shown above too.
Taste Your Momo
- The Momo is ready to eat.
- Put it in the side to cool down When it has cooled down, the Momo is ready to serve with chili sauce
