How to Make F&Q Out of PVC

Have you ever had the sudden urge to make the letters F and Q out of PVC, but can't find a tutorial on how top make one? Well it's your lucky day (Insert Name Here)! I had to make the letters F and Q for my Mid Year in my Physics and Engineering class, and now I am going to tell you how! You will need a few materials to build them.

PVC, A Ruler, PVC Cutters, and PVC Fittings

Lets hope an F isn't my grade for this!

Step 1: Step 1 of Making the Letter F

Cut a piece of PVC to get a 9 1/2 inch piece, a 4 1/2 inch piece, a 5 inch piece and a 7 inch piece. Place the 9 1/2 inch piece into the T joint as shown in the picture, then place the 4 1/2 inch piece in the T joint across from the 9 1/2 inch piece.

Step 2: Step 2 of Making the Letter F

Place elbow joint on 4 1/2 inch piece and make sure the elbow joint and the T joint face the same way as each
other. The best way to do this, is to lay them out flat, and press them down. I did this, and it worked fine.

Step 3:Step 3 of Making the Letter F

Place 5 inch piece into T joint and 7 inch piece into the elbow joint.

Step 4: Step 1 of Making the Letter Q

Take a 45 degree elbow and put an 1 inch piece of PVC into it. Then attach another 45 degree elbow to the 1 inch piece. Repeat seven times for each set of pieces.

Step 5: Step 2 of Making the Letter Q

Cut out 6 pieces of PVC that are 3 9/16 inches, then connect the 45 degree elbow pieces that are conjoined by the 1 inch pieces, to each piece of 3 9/16 inch PVC. Then connect 3 of the 45 degree elbows conjoined by the 1 inch PVC pipe to each other.

Step 6: Step 3 of Making the Letter Q

Take a T joint and put 2 one inch pieces into each socket of the T joint. Then attach the conjoined unit composed of two 1 inch pieces and the T joint with the structure composed of 3 9/16 pieces connected to the 45 degree elbows.

Step 7: Step 4 of Making the Letter Q

Put 1 inch PVC into T joint, then connect elbow joint to it.

Step 8: Step 5 of Making the Letter Q

Now, follow previous steps (4-7) to build another Q structure.

Step 9: Step 6 of Making the Letter Q

Once the second Q structure is built, place another 3 9/16 inch piece into one of the elbows and then connect it to the first Q structure. When Q stands up, it will have a 3 dimensional perspective.

Step 10: F and Q, We're Done!
